Vista 32 e8400 Encode

Post by Roadman »

Machine Type: Vista 32
CPU Speed: 3.7 Ghz (overclocked)
Number of CPUs 2
Rip Format: MP4
Encoder: H.264
Video Size & settings: 720x480, anamorphic is loose, deinterlace is none
Quality / Bit Rate: Constant quality is 59%
1 or 2 Pass: 1-pass
Min/Max or Average Frames Per Second (FPS): Average 35 fps

I'm using build 2008110201. This is a snapshot beta verson. I chose the default Universal preset. Both cpu's are pegged at 100%. This is a 2 hour movie and will probably take about 1.5 hours to completely encode. This is not the fastest computer, but its not a slouch. I've noticed several other posts where the frame rates per second are in the multi-hundred's per second. This seems impossible. Am I misreading something?

What your seeing is normal.

perfectly possible. I for example have toped it out at 3~400fps. however for my normal encodes I get around 80~150fps. I am however sitting on a quad core system.
It's all dependant on the settings you use and the hardware you have.
