Using HandBrake svn1568 (2008071301).
Before I was using an AMD X2 5200+ (dual core 2.6 Ghz) processor in exactly the same setup (same svn, ram, etc) and I was getting right at 35 FPS. SOOOO the different CPU capabilities (SSE2Fast I think) allowed me to double my FPS rate without doubling my CPU speed...

Just a data point! Happily converting at 1/3rd real time....
