Ubuntu: 16GB RAM better than 8GB RAM for handbrake?

Do you think I can improve speed when using 16GB DDR3-RAM instead of 8GB with my AMD FX-8... (octa-core) cpus? Mostly I do not use queues when encoding more files, but I start until 8 handbrake instances with my Ubuntu 14.04-system. I am building a new pc and have to decide, if I should buy 8 or 16GB RAM, most times I have enough with 2GB RAM of my 8GB with "standard usage" and the current pc.

While handbrake won't use the extra RAM, the price difference isn't that great nowadays... and the operating system will be able to use it for a variety of things.
