Re: AMD Phenom II X6
Heh, try this with the latest nightly build
You ought to see a nice speed increase with the "Normal" preset.

Re: AMD Phenom II X6
This is Build 4036 linux AMD64. So it's the lastest as of today.
For the 1080p encoders out there, I just got 55fps from encoding a Battle Los Angeles Blue-Ray, also Normal preset. It's been a wile since i've done a bue-ray, so ya, normal is much faster than it was just a wile ago. And yes, I do know I misspelled Phenom in the title. lol.

Yep. That makes sense when looking at your numbers (in 0.9.5 and older nightlies, the speed difference between Normal and High profile was much narrower).dan457 wrote:This is Build 4036 linux AMD64. So it's the lastest as of today.
I beg your pardon?dan457 wrote:And yes, I do know I misspelled Phenom in the title. lol.
Just kidding, I fixed it
Re: AMD Phenom II X6
Dan,
If possible, could you run an encode test for me?
- 1080p bluray source
- mkv, high profile (RF 20)
Just want to see what kind of FPS you are seeing, don't need to encode the whole movie. I'm debating about upgrading my x4 to an x6 and want to see if I feel its worth it. Thanks.
