how much extra file size does the add'l AAC track add?

On 5.1 AC3 rips, how much file size (per hour) does the inclusion of the additional AAC track add?

The ac3 bitrate x length of your source.

Oh, and please don't link to your post from another post to get it answered any sooner.

If the original poster truly meant the AAC track, then it would be:

AAC bitrate * feature length in seconds

The other question (how much extra file size does the AC3 track add?) has already been answered on this forum, and I'm sure the poster did a search and found that thread before creating this one.

My bad. I must have had AC3 on the brain or something. Either way its bitrate x length

So a two hour movie at 128 ks would add 921,600. Is that just under 1 MByte?

Lets do some Math.
A 2 hour movie has 120 minutes which are 7200 seconds.
Now the bitrate is 128 kbps (kilobit per second) thus 16 kilobyte per second. (dive through 8)
16 kilobyte per second times 7200 seconds is 115200 kilobytes or better 112,5MB. (divide through 1024)

For 160 kbps it would be 140,625 MB.

So no it isn't just under 1 MB.

For many of us, the comma in your number is quite misleading.
Where I come from (Canada), you'd write 112.5 MB and 140.625 MB

Hope that helps sierramadre.
