Slideshow / Powerpoint / Online meeting / Lecture Presets

Post by Gunpowder »

In these times its necessary to keep the online lectures small as possible, because there are so many of them when you study.
This is my first try and my 2 hours media was compressed to 170MB. I bet there is more to configure, buts thats ok for me. Just copy the code to editor and safe as .json file.

Code: Select all

Why not use the stillimage tune instead of the long pile of crap you have?

Well, because its crap and the filesize is 3 times bigger than my results.

Not exactly specifying the options correctly, either. option1=foo:option2=bar etc.

For a lecture you can probably use mono audio and half the audio bit rate.

Could you post the best presets in your opinion, without half the audio bit rate? Would like to try em out and compare.

You can cut your video frame rate in half without much impact, assuming you are filming talking heads.
It's what many cellphones and webcams do.

I dont like to half the frame rate, when the frames are basicly always the same. The right presets should do the thing, but it seems nobody knows how to do this.

Actually, we do know how to do this. You can:
1. Reduce the Audio and/or Video Bitrate directly
2. Raise the Audio and/or Video compression factor
3. Reduce the Video Resolution or number of Audio channels
4. Reduce the Frame Rate
5. Reduce the color bit depth or chroma subsampling

Good luck!

Also
6. Apply an appropriate video encoder tune.

Also, (thx for reminder)
7. Add a light denoise filter. Judiciously.
