Formats other than MP4 and MKV?

Description of problem or question:
I am NEW to Handbrake, but cannot find this question when I search for "AVI" so I have to ask it, even though it's probably been hashed out somewhere. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it's my first post.

I have a portable DVD player for road trips that plays video files on USB. But it only takes 720 WMA and AVI files. How do I convert my video files (several formats like MKV, M4V, AVI, etc.) into one of these two file types that can play on this player?

I have tried several different presets and none of them have formats other than MKV, MP4 or Webm. Where are all the other output file formats?

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
Version 1.3.2 (updated from 1.2 tonight, hoping it would solve the problem but it didn't)

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Windows 10 64bit

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

I do not have an error, I am trying to figure out how to get HandBrake to do something.

HandBrake can only create MKV, MP4 or Webm.

I would not use AVI if I had a choice, but this DVD player for the car will only play AVI or WMA, so for this purpose it's what I have to go with.

Your portable player is obsolete.
A mid priced tablet will do much better.

Just an idea, VLC's "Convert" used to have an AVI option.
