Ripping Blu-ray for iDVD

Post by doulos12 »

Description of problem or question: I have a Blu-ray that I want to rip so I can create a DVD for use in our car DVD player. I've tried variations on the Fast 480p preset, but none of them creates a resulting video that's small enough to use with iDVD. What settings should I be using? Note that this is for my young kids in the car, so it doesn't have to be super high quality, but not so low that it's glitchy or garbled audio.

Or should I not use iDVD? I don't need fancy menus, so a different free DVD burning software for Mac suggestion would be welcome.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0): 1.2.1

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update): macOS 10.13 High Sierra
