Description of problem or question:
I wish to convert the DVDs and Blu Rays on my PC to mkv format files. The converted files will then be moved to my QNAP NAS box, for playback using Kodi and Plex.
The are a number of MKV presets, ideally I would like to use the best/highest quality settings. So which preset would be recommended?
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.2.0
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Windows 10
Thanks in advance

Re: Presets for NAS box
The "best/highest quality" would be just to rip the disks with MakeMKV (keeping the original video and audio bitstreams), and not using HB at all. The files will be quite large.
The HQ or Super HQ presets (480p for DVD, 1080p for BR), with the container changed to MKV, provides a perhaps more reasonable tradeoff between size and quality, while allowing for further adjustment of the quality setting.
