Apple 4K preset won’t AirPlay

Description of problem or question:
I’ve re-ripped several of my videos using the H.265 setting (Apple 4K). This plays fine on all my i-devices and streams fine from iTunes to AppleTV 4K.
One problem I’ve discovered is that it fails to airplay from an i-device directly to the AppleTV.
Any thought on whether this is an encoding issue with HandBrake, or an AirPlay issue Apple needs to resolve?
