Custom preset, subtitle value not saved

Post by jelabarre59 »

Description of problem or question:
Custom preset value for subtitles is not being saved

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Starting from "Android 480p30" preset, open MKV file (Japanese audio, English subtitles).
Delete Subtitles setting "Foreign Audio Scan -> Burned Into Video (Forced Subtitles Only)", add setting "1 - English [SSA] -> Burned Into Video".
Save as custom preset.
Encode/convert the source already loaded. The video will convert correctly with burned-in subtitles.
Open new source file (without changing preset)
Subtitles will have reverted to "Foreign Audio Scan -> Burned Into Video (Forced Subtitles Only)"

Same thing happens if you open a file, then switch to the custom preset.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.1.0 (x86_64)

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Linux Mint 19 (x86_64)

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

EDIT: I forgot that I was going to upload a sample of what I was converting, if someone wanted to check it out. I uploaded the smallest file of all the episodes. 141MB in size.

Did you set your subtitle defaults to the behavior your wanted, or only the one off encode settings?

Also upgrade to the latest release, 1.1.0 isn't supported.

I set the subtitle defaults to what I wanted, then saved the profile.

Interesting, my repo for Handbrake is missing from my configuration. Probably when I had to recover my system. Probably why I haven't seen a newer release.
