HandBrake doesn´t allow transcoding to Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC3). Only passthrough and only when .mkv file is used. I would love to transcode high bitrate sound, such as TrueHD, DTS-HD or Dolby Atmos to E-AC3, as my target device supports it and I could somewhat offset compression with bitrate. Any way to do so? Maybe through CLI or Extra Options?
Thank you !
Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Try to transcode to E-AC3. Only ordinary AC3 is available
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
No matter the version. 1.1.1.
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Encoding will be added eventually now that we have switched from Libav to FFmpeg
Thank you both. I heard something about it. So there´s no way to encode to E-AC3 at present? Not even by using .mkv container or CLI command?
Thank you
Thank you. I will give it a try. I should expect output quality to be the same, don't I? Just program instability or manifest bugs could appear by using Night Biulds, right?
