The choice of conversion was AppleTV (1st generation). Why is the resulting file at 59 fps and not 29fps? I believe that 59 fps is outside of the spec range for the AppleTV (1st generation). Thank you.

Code: Select all

[23:03:18] + frame rate: same as source (around 59.940 fps)
Your source is also 59.94 fps, as is indicated by both your activity log and the MediaInfo Mac report on your source. Try setting FPS manually to 29.97 fps.

Yes, thank you.

Some of my conversions are 24fps and of course I do not want them manually adjusted to 29.97. But I may not remember every time I convert from the HDPVR...

How do I modify the AppleTV default setting so that it works every time without manual modification, and return it to true AppleTV setting?

Set the framerate to 29.97 but also select "peak framerate". So anything over 29.97 gets pulled back to that framerate, but anything under 29.97 stays as it is.

This is the system that the preset for the Apple TV 2 uses.
