Apple TV / Itunes HD Icon

Post by Tomcool »

Hey guys just started using Handbrake yesterday to encode moves for my ATV2.

My question is - why when I encode HD movies is the HD icon not showing in itunes/apple tv? Most of the encodes in handbrake using the ATV2 presets come out at 1280x688 AND 744x400

I believe the HD tag needs to be explicitly set now (this wasn't always the case). Subler on the Mac can do this, I think MetaX for Windows can as well.

Are 1280x688 AND 744x400 both HD?

744x400 is very much standard definition.
