Commentary tracks on AppleTV/iPhone

Post by neland »

I was just wondering if any progress has been made on using multiple same language audio tracks (ie a separate Director's Commentary track) with the iPhone or AppleTV interfaces. I read some posts a while back about just encoding the tracks and using Muxo to manually change the track name. I found this had the side effect of having to manually select the AC3 track on my AppleTV instead of it being selected automatically. Anyone figure out a better way or is this still the only/standard way of doing it? Thanks.

Using Subler on the created m4v files you can rename the audio tracks (ie from "stereo" to "Director's commentary") and also tick the box next to the AC3 audio track which then marks it as the default track.
