Apple TV tags

Post by max37 »

So I importuned some of my DVDS and for some reason when I did some of the tags it would sort it by season and episode but others alphabetically and I would like it to sort the same way I buy episodes from the itunes store. I compared the differences and couldn't find any why are they being sorted weird ?

I wasn't aware Handbrake could set any tags.

This won't be anything to do with Handbrake - we don't add any extra tags to Handbrake's output movies.

In iTunes, make sure that you've set the Season Number and the Episode Number on the Video tab of the file's Info window. This should sort out the sorting in iTunes / FrontRow / Apple TV.

I've dealt with tags a bit. I've worked out a procedure for automatically getting all the Netflix data into iTunes.

I shared it here:

It's pretty rough, but maybe you'll find it useful.
