H.264 (NVEnc) additional settings.

Post by urgentus »

Description of problem or question:

I searched the forum but did not find a direct answer. The question is: when I start a Nvidia NVENC H.264 encode on an Nvidia 2070 Super videocard [H.264 (NVEnc)], how can I enable custom [additional] settings: B-frame,me_range, umh, subme etc ?
This is possible when encoding H. 264 without the nvenc function.

Is there such a possibility in the CLI or GUI version?

Thanks.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

1.4.0 [x86_x64]
Ryzen 3900, DDRIV 64gb, nVidia 2700 Super

Manjaro Linux, 21.1, x64, xfce.

Nope. NVEnc has very limited set of options when compared to x264. https://handbrake.fr/docs/en/latest/tec ... nvenc.html
