Hello all.
I would like to change the codec of my movies from h.264 to h.265. I can set the "Size" under "Dimension". I would like to have the normal size of the movie again. But what confuses me is the difference between three values.
Under Source it says: 1920x1080
Width: 1920 and Height 818 are automatically selected in the input field.
But when I change this to 1920x1080, it says under "Output": Display Size: 2535x1080.
What do I have to set so that I get the original format? Sorry for the stupid question, but I am a little confused.
Have a nice day.
What dimension size should i choose?

Re: What dimension size should i choose?
If you do not specify a size, you will get the source dimensions, minus any cropping handbrake does to remove letterboxing.
Some of the presets have limits; for this source, choosing one that has "1080p" or larger in its name will make sure the original size is used by default.

Re: What dimension size should i choose?
Here is a picture of the UI: https://ibb.co/DzmWY37
I cannot leave both fields empty. "32" is then set automatically. As you can see in the photo, a set width of 1920 would suddenly change to 2535. somehow this is strange or I am stupid.

Re: What dimension size should i choose?
The picture is broken (can't view).
Unless you have a weirdly limited preset selected by default, the Dimension values should match the source, in this case "1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9]". You do not have any special anamorphic values listed, so "Display size" should also be 1920x1080.

Re: What dimension size should i choose?
Set your cropping to 0,0,0,0.
Re: What dimension size should i choose?
thank you. that helped
