If an H.264 video weighs 15gb and at the end of compressing it weighs 1.7gb in H.265
Is it worth compressing to H.265? Or am I doing the wrong thing and should I compress it to H.264.?
I read out there that H.265 compresses even better and the files are a bit lighter. But I don't know, tell me what to do.

Yes, except when it's no, but sometimes it is maybe.

Insufficient information to make your decisions for you.

If you're targeting mid to low quality output, or it's 4K resolution, then no.
