I've been noticing lately that when I import a video into iMovie for editing, there are dropped frames and audio is out of sync. I can't tell exactly what I need to do to fix this in HandBrake or which FPS to select.
Of course, this would be much easier if Apple just let me use VFR in iMovie or allowed recording in CFR on the iPhone, but that doesn't seem like it's going to be something that's going to happen.
Thanks for any help, and I'll give any other info I need (but I'm not really sure what I don't know, if that makes sense).

Easy way:
In Handbrake, encode first using "Constant Frame Rate, Same as Source."

Use one of the Production presets.

also make sure that your imovie project is set to the right frame rate. It will set the project to whatever the first video file is put in the time line, so if you put in a 24FPS clip first, that becomes the frame rate of the whole project and could be a reason on why your getting dropped frames if you fimed in 30 or 60 fps on your phone
