HandBrake reports the fixed DTS rates (not Master Audio) as 1536 & 768 Kb/s. Seemingly-authorative sources report that those numbers are the rates allowed by the DVD-video specification but that the actual DTS rates are 1509 & 754.5 Kb/s.
Even the whitepaper documentation from DTS Inc. is maddeningly inconsistent.
BDInfo reports 1509 & 754.5 Kb/s and I assume it does so based on #audiostreambytes/runningtime. Changing the reported rates would bring the DTS rates into alignment with what BDInfo reports.
Do you have any insight to share?
Thanks much,
Mark.
