'Detelecine' & 'Deinterlace Detection'

'Detelecine' & 'Deinterlace Detection':

I expect that if 'Detelecine'=='Default', 'Deinterlace Detection' is completely ignored.

Am I right? (This is a sincere question.)

Detelecine and Deinterlace/Interlace Detection aren't directly related.

Okay, but that's rather unexpected. Logic: If I'm detelecining, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the source needs to be deinterlaced?

...no matter. Now I know. Thanks.

Nope, not at all. Cleanly telecined content and mixed content exists.
