HTML in subtitles

Post by judyn »

Description of problem or question:
I want to "burn" subtitles into videos and just started using HandBrake to do it. However, one TV series must have HTML in some of the subtitles, and the HTML code is displayed at the bottom of the screen. They've done that for background sound that they want italic (e.g., TV or something like that). Obviously it would be nice if the HTML would be interpreted rather than just printing the HTML code.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.2.1

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Windows 10

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

Please replace this text with the contents of your log file between the two code tags - OR - provide a pastebin URL in place of these 3 lines.

As this relates to a specific encode, it is not a general question, and an activity log would be helpful.
