It's it possible to output video from Handbrake in an Interlaced format?
Say 1080i50 or 576i50 (aka 576@25hz)
Also, if I go from 1080p60 to 576p25 or 576p50, how does handbrake handle the pulldown? Frame blending etc?
Sorry for the random question. I'm asking for local tv station, and so we're a bunch of volunteer noobs with a TV station.
Just trying to work out the basics options for the Playout system we have. It will only accept 25/50 FPS content, preferably interlaced or it actually crashes and takes the whole station offline.
Just checking if Handbrake can help us out!
Progressive to Interlaced
Re: Progressive to Interlaced
Handbrake won't interlace or flag as such, since it assumes the output will be streamed or played locally.
Ffmpeg will do the trick, as will an editor like Vegas, but not as quickly.
Everything I recall about SD broadcast practices is that it was an mpeg-2 interlaced Transport Stream, something Handbrake definitely does not do.
