Description of problem or question:
Source: uncompressed avi from AE with square resolution (510x510)
HB result: upper line has a glitch (randomly changes horizontal length and color)

A lot of libraries were replaced, including decoders.

Indeed. Given the nightly worked, my guess is the same as mduell's; it was most likely a decoder bug that got fixed upstream.
