Linux version much different? Passthru, presets

Post by sfatula »

I've used Windows and Mac Handbrake, was able to send my presets between them, all options seemed to be the same. I tossed the Windows machine and replaced with Ubuntu. Handbrake appears to be much different with various options not there. One that I could use is flac passthru. I use auto passthru for videos so that I can load video source, and hit go without having to review every tab. But there appears to be no flac passthru.

Also, it doesn't seem to accept json preset exports from Windows or Mac.

Is there a direction to some day make the Linux version more interoperable?

This is not generally true, it's likely something specific to what you're doing with HB, and as such it is not appropriate for this forum.

As it says at the top in red text on a pink background: Please be aware, this forum is not for support or help related to HandBrake. Please keep such discussions to the Community Support forum sections.
