The new Mac operating system (High Sierra) apparently wants HVC1 whereas Handbrake apparently supports HEV1. My understanding is that the Handbrake developers are in the process of supporting HVC1. Does anyone know when this will happen?
I know that VLC supports HEV1, but I would like to play my files in QuickTime.
Thanks

This is fixed in the nightly builds

I gather that it is here: https://github.com/HandBrake/HandBrake/ ... 3b7c43a0db
But I don't know what to do with it. Could you give me a hint about how I go about using it?
Thanks

Re: Support for H.265 HVC1 for Mac High Sierra?
Hello,
How do I set the HCV1? I encoded a slideshow with the a nightly build and it will not load in iTunes but will play if I drag and drop. However, it is a black video just with audio. Do I have to set it for HVC1 instead of HVEC?
