Cropping skews subtitles - any solutions?

Post by Deleted User 39659 »

HI

I am in the process of ripping my DVDs and everything is fine, except for the way subtitles look when i have to crop. It skews the text and its often placed too high. See pictures. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance

Your subtitles are passthru, so it's probably the player that's not scaling them correctly.

Can you try another player to see if you get the same problem.

Thanks for the reply. Here is the result in mpv (And looks the same on Plex on my Apple TV):

and just to compare here is what it looks like when i play the dvd through VLC:

Do there exist any software that let me edit subtitle-scaling post-rip ?
