OpenCL: library not available

Post by linuxuser »

HandBrake svn6559 (2014112601) - Linux x86_64
https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/HardwareAcceleration
We added two checkboxes on Handbrake’s main GUI to control the enabling/disabling of hardware support/OpenCL support
I can't see these checkboxes.

IMHO this graphicscard should support OpenCL:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF108 [GeForce GT 620] (rev a1)

OpenCL works with AftershotPro but crashes sometimes, so I disabled it.

From the release announcement
In addition to the default Lanczos scaling algorithm, HandBrake now offers BiCubic scaling on Windows via OpenCL.
In addition, OpenCL scaling is only useful on a limited number of machines that have pathetically slow CPUs and with a limited number of input source resolutions. It's definitely anti-climatic and may get removed in future releases.
