mp4 output

Post by tractorboy »

Hi, I am new to handbrake so please bear with me.

I am trying to get a dvs onto an android tablet and believe that I need mp4 files. To that end I have managed to rip the dvd (and have the owners permission to do this btw) to an iso, but that reading that iso I keep getting a single mp4 per chapter, whereas I believe I should be having a single mp4 for all chapters. Is this possible and is this the correct way to go?

First things first - you need to post a scan/encode log, so that what you're doing can be seen. There are a lot of factors that could come into play here, from the version of Handbrake you are using to what was used to get the ISO file off the DVD. The Activity Log (link above has information on it) is necessary!

I too am having the same problem. I have ripped a file using MakeMKV and I know it contains all the chapter information. This is showing in VLC & MetaX, but when Handbrake 0.9.9.5530(32-bit) loads it, it only shows 1 chapter.

Windows 7 (32-bit) & Windows 8.1 64-bit

HandBrake 0.9.9.5530 - 32bit Version
Try it with a nightly build. There are a LOT of things in the year old release version that are fixed in the nightly builds.
