I can't tell if this release includes the Bob filter as well, or if it's strictly a 0.9.6 fix release. I could wait until it shows up in the Ubuntu PPA to find out... ...or I could ask it here!

Either way, mad props to you guys for all your hard work! It's much appreciated!

It's strictly a bugfix release. No new features (use the nightlies if you want those).

What nightly build is 0.9.7 based off of?
Or is in some ways a one off,
in that it is a bug fix release of 0.9.6
and those fixes are only for what ever build 0.9.6 was based off of?

Part of the reason for asking, is that I noticed that it does not show pgs subtitles
which invoked me to asking the above

Closed. We are releasing 0.9.8 to fix some additional issues that cropped up in 0.9.7 shortly.
