What other options are there?
so I'm ripping DVD images from mactheripper for my ipod and it just seems on a macbookpro core2duo it's still unbearably slow. I'm wondering what other options there are as I have a lot of TV shows to rip from DVD
Are you using any advanced options? If you're using x264, switching to mp4 will speed things up. I imagine using a lower bitrate, not cropping the video, and not resizing it would also make things faster. I've also found the CLI to be faster than using the GUI.
Whichever one you use, how fast you can get it to go really depends on what level of quality you're willing to put up with.
