I can't rear the rear speakers after recode.

I have ripped DVD's onto my HDD & when I play them back with either PowerDVD or VLC Player I can here audio from the rear speakers. I have then tried taking the same files & recoding them in Handbrake only to find that I no longer have sound from the rear speakers.

I have tried using both automatic settings as well as pass through & if I understand your guide correctly then on of these settings should have worked. Is there something else that I should be doing?
