How do I get a clear full screen picture?

I searched "full screen" and didn't get anything.

When I rip the DVD's onto my computer they are all pixely at full screen (using apple TV pre-set). What do I need to do with my settings to make it look clear at full screen? I currently watch the vids through quicktime.

Crank up the bitrate.

Or buy a smaller monitor.

Or steal someone else's prescription glasses.
