I can't figure out how to get the files that have been converted from DVD through HandBrake and then copied back to another DVD to play in a commercial DVD player. The DVD Players always say they can't play this disc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
What file type for DVD playback
Re: What file type for DVD playback
You can't. Files produced by HandBrake aren't compatible with DVD players.RicDavid wrote:I can't figure out how to get the files that have been converted from DVD through HandBrake and then copied back to another DVD to play in a commercial DVD player. Thanks for the quick reply.
Any idea how I "could" do this?

Re: What file type for DVD playback
You would use a third-party encoder to render the HandBrake files to compliant MPEG-2 (.mpg or .vob) for DVD authoring. I won't name any because there are so many. You can't make a SD DVD from MP4.

Since this is under the Mac section, I'll recommend Toast. I've been using it for years without any issues. It's not free though...
