when you download an hd file off itunes you get an sd version and a hd version that combine in itunes (one for ipod, one for apple tv).

i have encoded a sd and hd version of the same file in handbrake but when i put them into itunes they don't combine...

anyone know how to do this?

thanks

I believe your answer can be found here in the Subler thread.

Just follow the link. It's the last post of the thread, by Ritsuka.

1. Download subler.
2. Open both files with subler.
3. Add a CNID tag from the drop down menu to both files.
4. Fill in the CNID tag on both files ( I just make up a number like 5677), make sure it is the same for both files.
5. Change the type to either movie or tv show depending, under the "Other Settings tab".
6. Check the HD box on the same tab for the HD copy.
7. Save both files, and then drop them both into itunes.

Use a different CNID number for each set of movies that you are adding.
