Next step after ripping w/Mediafork??..........

Post by mld277 »

Hi,

I seem to be having some conceptual difficulties re: ripping and burning dvd's.

1) I use Mediafork to rip and I get a .mp4 file.

2) What's the simplest way to be able to burn to DVD? Do I have to go into iMovie and then to iDVD?Or into ffmpegx? What's the least amount of steps to convert the .mp4 into something burnable?

The amount of info available has overloaded me a little. Any concise explanation will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

That is not what HandBrake is for. HandBrake is to create MPEG-4 video. There is no next step.

Going from DVD (MPEG-2) to MPEG-4 then back to DVD is just a senseless loss of quality and time.

Use another application, like Toast.

Agreed. If you just want to copy your DVDs, use MacTheRiper and Toast....
