Handbrake just quits

I'm on Handbrake for Mac, on an Intel C2D iMac.

A few days ago, I did an encode of a 4.37gb (around) file and had no problems with Handbrake.

Ever since, I've tried two different video files and it has crashed everytime during the encode. It's crashed probably 7 or 8 times, at random spots in the encode (usually doesn't make it far into first pass, maybe 15% tops).

Unfortunately the crashes don't let me see the activity log, but I copied everything up to it before it crashed (since I assumed it would again).

The two different videos I was trying to encode were between 6-8gbs a piece, h.264 mkvs, outputting to about 1/2dvd size.

I'm going to try to compile the Handbrake source to see if that makes a difference, but I'll have to install yasm and all that.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

the library Handbrake uses to decode videos crashes on h.264 in 0.9.3. fixed in SVN

I noticed that after I posted that, but the full activity logs aren't any different, it shows no information, just crashes.

I'll give a shot at compiling the source and hopefully that fixes the problem. Just wanted to let everyone know in case it was some weird issue.

EDIT: After building the SVN, this is no longer a problem. The encoding seemed to go faster, and had no problems whatsoever.
