Description of problem or question:
Is there a native version of Handbrake for M1 Macs?
Does it take advantage of the GPUs in the M1 Macs?

Yes.
No, but it can use he hardware encoder if you select one of the VideoToolbox encoders.

I don't understand the use of "but" here, since the VideoToolbox encoders are not in any circumstance using the GPU on a M1 Mac.

The hardware video encoding acceleration is on the same SOC as the CPU and everything else; the "but" in a question about GPU usage seemed misleading.
