Open multiple EyeTV files

Post by GJW »

Description of problem or question:

HB fails to recognise the EyeTV recordings when opening a folder to batch import. Other .mpg files are recognised and batch import works.
HB has full disk access and is allowed to control the computer.
Opening a single EyeTV recording works OK.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

Make a top-level folder on an external disk containing 2 EyeTV recordings. Use Open Source and select the folder. HB reports: No Valid Source found.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

HB 1.3.3 (2020061300)

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Mac mini 7,1 and MacOS Mojave (10.14.6)

Re: Open multiple EyeTV files

if I recall correctly, this isn't supported. HandBrake only opens a single flat directory of files. .eyetv "files" are actually not single files but container of files so require special treatment which excludes them from this feature.
