App doesn't launch when looking for previous folder (network drive)

Post by ns79 »

Description of problem or question:
Since upgrading to 1.3, handbrake won't launch. I suspect it is searching for a network share that is not connected, because that is where I last used Handbrake. When I finally gave up and reconnected to the network share, HB finally finished launching, and showed me a folder on the network share (of a DVD I had ripped).

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
1. compress a movie from a network shared drive (the output file can be local)
2. quit handbrake (it will have any "most recent folder" settings on the network drive)
3. disconnect the network drive (mine's network cable was unplugged; I don't know if HB or MacOS would be able to reconnect to the network drive while searching for it)
4. try to launch handbrake. It will bounce indefinitely without launching, though it might put up a system message telling you the shared drive can't be found.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.3.0

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
MacOS 10.13.6

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)
FYI I found no handbrake folder in my "Application Support" folder, though I did copy the following log from inside the handbrake app, once I launched it by re-connecting my network share.
