Handbrake rips and iTune tagging

Post by louden »

I can rip a DVD - I'm ripping a TV show dvd - but when I try to import the video into iTunes, it incorrectly assumes the video is a movie. In fact, there are no metadata tags on the video file.

I could use iTunes to fix this, but it is really slow, and I can only touch one file at a time - Is there a better way to take files with the correct metadata?

Thanks in advance!

You can try this script at doug's scripts.

Set Video Kind of Selected v2.0:
http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ ... ofselected

With it you can bulk update all of the tag information in the video section. including kind, show name, and episode number.

I'll endorse Metax - can tag one or multiple files with presets... art lookup - can't beat it!

As well, there is a pref in the macgui to have HandBrake automatically send your completed movie to MetaX for tagging. Makes the process pretty seemless :)
