2160p UHD Movie green screen

Post by Sascha7611 »

Description of problem or question:

Hello, I tried to encode a 2160p UHD 4K video with handbrake. I used the apple tv 4k HEVC preset and changed nothing on it. I imported the file to Itunes and on my mac the file works fine I can play it and have sound. When I try to open the file on my apple tv 4k I have the the sound but the screen shows me only green colour. What did I do wrong?

Greetings,
Sascha

We had another report of this recently. I'm wondering if a recent Apple TV firmware update is causing this, because it worked fine before.

Will you please test the same preset and change the video encoder to the 10-bit version? You can encode only one chapter or time period to test more quickly.

I read the other post with the green screen 5 minutes after I had post this post. I tried to change the X.265 encoder to the 10-bit version and now the video works with apple TV 4K, I have no green screen anymore.
Thanks for helping
