Losing the audio track when processing

Post by mrxeno »

Description of problem or question:

Losing the audio track when trying to update old .dv files created with early iMovie

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

Nothing complicated. HandBrake processed video looks great, but no audio. Here is a screen shot indicating what appears to be a compatibility issue: https://xenodesign.com/transfer/handbrake.png

Thank you

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

1.2.0

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Mac OSX 10.10.5

Re: Losing the audio track when processing

Post by BradleyS »

"Unknown" in this instance indicates no language is identified. The audio itself is identified as uncompressed PCM which is common for DV files and the log indicates everything went fine. What are you using to play back the file?

Code: Select all

[15:34:30] mux: track 1, 2111 frames, 12666 bytes, 2.25 kbps, fifo 4096
The main issue is above, it might be an empty track… or a decoder bug?
