Storage Size Fixed at 1280 x 568

Description of problem or question:

I've created a video at dimensions of 1280 x 720 however Handbrake isn't allowing me to change the Storage Size from 1280 X 568. It's extremely odd, forcing the view to be very narrow.


Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

I've quite Handbrake and tried again but it's still locked on 568 for height.

Does the video have a 152 pixel high black bar on it to make it 720 pixels high? Handbrake detects that in auto-crop mode, and removes it because it just takes up space. If you NEED to have it, you need to set cropping to manual, and set the offsets to all zeros.

Letterboxing is not needed for most players; if they need to fit a box to a particular window size, they will add the necessary padding during playback.

Hey Woodstock. No black bar anywhere on the original footage.
I've used handbrake for years without any problems, this new version is stuck on that 568 pixels high.

Set your cropping to 0.

It's working correctly in this instance.

Auto-crop is reducing the resolution. It's probably a false positive detection due to something in the content. Set to 0 as rolling said and your good.

Excellent! Thanks guys that seems to have fixed it. I remember playing with the cropping but didn't quite work it all the way out to set it to 0 lol. Thanks so much for your help!
