Some questions about best compression for 4K and Blu-Ray

Post by Nathan5 »

Hello everybody!

I'm new in this forum. I have used Handbrake for long time but I never have compressed 4K until now.

I'm sorry if this issue has beed commented yet.

I have a 4096x2160 24 fps video in .mov format which size is 89 Gb. This video has been edited by FCPX
I want to compress it for getting the best quality in 4K (.mp4) and fullHD.

I think the size equivalent in fullHD is 1920x1012

Apart from wanting the highest quality in both sizes full hd and 4k I would like that too to create a Blu-Ray with this video. I think Blu-Ray disc only can be created at 25 fps instead of 24 fps. Is it true?

Thank you a lot for your time.

Have a nice day!

Use the HQ or Super HQ presets for your desired resolution.

No, that is not true about Blu-ray.

You can also output the file from FCPX into Compressor and get excellent (professional) results. Blu-ray discs support 24, 25 and 30 fps.
