With version 1.0.7 I was able to produce good quality VP8 video using any of the built-in MKV VP8 presets. However, since upgrading to 1.1.0, I've not been able to produce a watchable file using the built-in presets. No matter which preset I pick or what video I choose, they always come out looking like this in VLC 2.2.8:

With 1.0.7, they came out like this as they should:

For a quick test I redownloaded 1.0.7 and placed it in a folder called HandBrake (1.1.0 was placed loose in my Applications folder as usual). I then ran it and did an encode using the built-in MKV VP8 576p preset (my source is an MKV ripped from a PAL DVD using MakeMKV). The video that HandBrake 1.0.7 created played fine, so I tried 1.1.0 again using the same source and preset but to no avail.
I always use VP8 for watching video on any device that supports the format (such as my Galaxy S5), as it's an entirely free format. Any help would be much appreciated!
HandBrake version: 1.1.0

Re: VP8 support broken in 1.1.0?
I can't reproduce this with any source I have following identical settings to what your using
What CPU is this running on?
Have you tried another player on the off chance it's a VLC bug?
Are you able to share a sample source that reproduces this?

Nevermind, It works perfectly on Windows, but fails horrifically on Mac.

Re: VP8 support broken in 1.1.0?
Thanks! I had a feeling it was a HandBrake bug as I found it odd that VLC was able to play one video but not the other, even though they're supposed to be the same specification!
