After scanning DVD, it say, "Source: No Valid Source Found"

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

The configuration is MabBook Pro 2015 with LG external USB DVD drive.
I was trying to rip the DVDs that I have and I get this error.
However, Mac's DVD player app plays fine.

Try ripping with makemkv first.

It is now ripping the DVD and saving mkv file. So, it works fine with makmkv.

Take the output from MakeMKV and encode with HandBrake. HandBrake isn't a ripper. MakeMKV is so it's no real surprise that it works.
MakeMKV gives you the raw mpeg2 stream from the disc. So you can now encode/compress that with HandBrake.

The strange thing is, after installing the new version of makemkv, Handbrake recognizes the titles. The only thing I did was to install daps_1.5.pkg that came with the new makemkv. However, encoding result is a garbage. The mkv file ripped and encoded by Handbrake is not really viewable (by VLC player). However, if I transcode the mkv file (which is essentially the same as the original DVD) from makemkv using Handbrake into a smaller (file) sized mkv, it plays fine.
Another very strange thing is that Handbrake creates only French subtitles, not English (even though I specified) - the original has both English/French subtitles. In fact, VLC player says it has English subtitles, but actually shows no subtiles at all during the play.
