Newbie RIP Troubles

Post by blackxacto »

 Have tried to rip my DVD of Casino Royale twice at different resolutions. Both are terrible results. Need help to determine what setting I am incorrectly using.

iMac 17,1, macOS10.12.6, 24GB RAM, used 360GB of 3GB Fusion Drive, Handbrake 1.0.7

libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable.
libdvdnav: Unable to open device file /dev/disk7.
Handbrake cannot handle encrypted data sources, such as DVDs or Blurays, without help. There are third-party "helper" libraries out there to make it work with many (not all) such sources, but they are not supported here.

You should rip the data from the optical media with a specialized tool for that (MakeMKV and AnyDVD are popular tools), then process the result through handbrake.
