At the end of the process I'm getting the message "QueueCore work failed" but the movie seems to be ok in the destination folder. I never recall seeing that message before the update.

Looks like maybe HandBrake couldn't reach chapter 13 (which is probably 1.5 seconds of black at the very end or something). If the encode looks fine, you're probably OK.
If you want this disc to encode error-free, you could always create a Matroska intermediate with MakeMKV and encode from that.
